On 7 November, Wicklow Town Council became the latest Irish council to ban circuses with wild animals and, in a landmark victory, the council also voted to ban the promotion of ALL animal circuses!

Wicklow becomes the fourth council in recent months to introduce a ban on wild animal acts.

This victory would not have been possible without the backing and support of Councillor Pat Kavanagh, who proposed the motion, which was seconded by Councillor Malcolm Earls.

ADI and ARAN would like to thank Wicklow Town Councillors for voting to Stop Circus Suffering in Ireland.

Our joint campaign to end the use of all animals in Irish circuses continues full steam ahead!
