SHARE THE GOOD NEWS: SANTA FE, NEW MEXICO, BANS WILD ANIMALS IN CIRCUSES!

Bears, tigers, lions and elephants will be safe in Santa Fe after the council voted overwhelmingly, by 8-1, for an ordinance prohibiting traveling animal acts with wild or exotic animals! ADI submitted evidence ahead of the vote and congratulates the council for this practical measure to protect animals and the public. “This is just one more step in making sure that our animals are treated with kindness and given humane conditions. There have been cases where these animals have escaped, and it’s been very problematic.” said city councilor Signe Lindell, who sponsored the ordinance. City Councilor Signe Lindell made this her cause and because of that, the ban passed.
