The Ukraine, in Eastern Europe, currently hosts dozens of animal circuses and shows. With proposals to ban the use of animals in circuses under discussion in parliament, could an end to the suffering finally be in sight?

Animal Defenders International, Born Free Foundation, Captive Animals’ Protection Society, and OneKind, welcome the publication of the Scottish Government Bill to ban the use of wild animals in travelling circuses in Scotland.

It is eleven years since a British Government first promised a ban on wild animals in circuses – eleven years of animal misery.

Animal Defenders International (ADI) has teamed up with politicians and celebrities to launch H.R. 1759, The Traveling Exotic Animal and Public Safety Protection Act (TEAPSPA) , a bill that will end the suffering of wild and exotic animals in traveling shows in the US.
