GREAT NEWS: MASSACHUSETTS BILL TO BAN ANIMALS IN CIRCUSES PASSES HOUSE – ACTION NEEDED BY JULY 31. Yesterday, the Massachusetts House unanimously passed (157-0) bill H4915, to ban elephants, big cats, primates, giraffes, and bears in traveling exhibits and shows statewide. If the bill becomes law, Massachusetts would be the sixth US state to ban the use of exotic animals in circuses statewide, and the ban would take effect on January 1, 2025.
