Stop Circus Suffering

Circus bans passed in Cincinnati, OH, and Topsfield, MA!

Momentum to stop circus suffering is growing, with new local bans in Ohio and Massachusetts.

ADI applauds two new circus bans.

Cincinnati, Ohio, banned exotic animal circuses, the ordinance first introduced by Councilmember Chris Seelbach. This is Ohio’s second local wild/exotic animal circus ban, in addition to a statewide ban on the use of electric prods.

Topsfield became the 10th locality in Massachusetts to ban wild/exotic animal acts. The prohibition will stop the camel and elephant rides provided by Commerford at the annual Topsfield Fair as well as animal performances, parades, and photo opportunities across the town.
