The bill to ban elephants, big cats, primates, giraffes, and bears in traveling exhibits and shows statewide, passed the House last week, and today passed the Senate! It will now move through some administrative steps, then to the governor for signature.
Our thanks to the bill sponsors State Representative Carole Fiola, State Representative Brad Jones, State Senator Adam Gomez and State Senator Bruce Tarr, and to EVERYONE who has helped to support the passing of this bill over the many, many years.
If you live in Massachusetts, please contact Governor Maura Healey and urge her to sign the bill into law. https://www.mass.gov/info-details/email-the-governors-office and/or call 888-870-7770
