Stop Circus Suffering

Bridgeport, CT, bans wild and exotic animal circus acts!

The second city in the state to pass such a ban, Bridgeport was where PT Barnum lived and is buried.

On November 5, 2018, the City Council of Bridgeport, Connecticut, voted to ban wild and exotic animal circus acts. The second city in the state to pass such a ban, the ruling is especially significant being where PT Barnum lived (and is buried) and was mayor.

Our thanks to sponsors Councilmembers Marcus Brown and Kyle Langan, City Council 132nd District for introducing this historic measure, which passed unanimously and was supported by ADI. CHANGE IS HAPPENING across the country, and 88 US jurisdictions in 31 states now have restrictions on wild/exotic animal circus acts.

Wherever you live in the US, please support the Traveling Exotic Animal and Public Safety Protection Act (TEAPSPA, HR 1759) to end traveling wild animal acts nationwide: Visit bit.ly/SupportTEAPSPA
