GREAT NEWS: Brookline became the fifteenth Massachusetts town to ban wild animals, including elephants, monkeys and zebras, in traveling acts. The ban passed with overwhelming support – 209-2.
IT IS TIME FOR STATE ACTION!
Massachusetts state bills H3245 / S2189 / S2197, to ban the use of elephants, big cats, primates, giraffes and bears in traveling exhibits and shows, were heard in committee in July 2023 (ADI testified in support) but sadly have not advanced.
