New Jersey Lions Club severs ties with animal circus

ADI congratulates New Jersey’s West Deptford Lions Club for severing ties with Cole Brothers Circus, in response to local community concerns about the treatment of animals in the circus. The many profitable humane fundraiser alternatives will allow West Deptford Lions to continue its great service work in keeping with their mission to “reach beyond” to “aid those in distress” for the “betterment of their communities and the world.”

ADI thanks Joan Conn for her efforts and all the local advocates who helped influence this decision.

I remember years ago that the Lion’s Club in another area had stopped using animal acts. Things are definitely going to be better for animals. Thanks again Animal Defenders International for doing so much to end the victimization of animals.
