Passaic County, NJ prohibit wild animal acts!
Passaic County Freeholders are prohibiting those who conduct, sponsor, operate, or otherwise allow traveling shows with wild/exotic animals on properties under County ownership or control.
MAKE IT HAPPEN WHERE YOU LIVE. On November 22nd, Passaic County became the 3rd in NJ and the 67th jurisdiction in the US to take action against circus suffering, citing cruelty, confinement, and inhumane treatment, and noting wild animals are “not suited to life in a circus.” Responding to residents’ concerns, the Passaic County Freeholders are prohibiting those who conduct, sponsor, operate, or otherwise allow traveling shows with wild/exotic animals on properties under County ownership or control, effective immediately.
