Governor Newsom signs California circus animal ban!

California follows New Jersey and Hawaii in introducing such a ban.

On October 12, Governor Gavin Newsom signed into law the Circus Cruelty Prevention Act, SB313, to ban the use of most animals in circuses statewide, making California the third state with such a ban. For more details, click here.

    Most animals? Why is it so hard to just ban all animals? Is the circus lobby that powerful?
