Stop Circus Suffering

Connecticut is the latest state to introduce a bill (SB413) to ban traveling wild animal acts thanks to the Environment Committee.

Introduced on January 23 by Representatives Sherry Appleton, Amy Walen, and Gerry Pollet, the bill (HB2824) passed its first reading and is now before the House Public Safety Committee.

SB20-125 has passed the Senate and next moves to the House.

The legislation goes beyond the California ban passed in 2019.
